Laayoune Mission 2016

Misión Aaiún 2016

The Kingdom of Morocco is currently undergoing an intensive plan for the modernisation and universalisation of medical care, as set out in its new Health Law (published in State Gazette no. 6344 of 19/03/2015).

The development objectives of the “Stratégie Sectoriell de Santé 2012-2016” plan include:

Improving care and training in emergency medicine based on proximity, professionalisation and the modernisation of mobile resources.

In diverse activities related to intelligence, SAMU Seville identified the opportunity to develop a knowledge management and capabilities bridge between certain areas of Morocco and our Group, which has been strengthened by the undertaking established with committed local agents such as Alter Forum Internacional and Radjem (AFIR).

A medical activity aimed at evaluating and guiding patients affected by metabolic and hypertensive pathologies and primary care for persons with special needs in the city of Laayoune, including the organisation of training workshops and a study of processes arising from functional muscle-skeletal limitations and establishing the following institutional objectives:

  • Strengthening alliances with public and private institutions and with NGOs from the healthcare sector.
  • Exploring the possibilities of the local implementation of the emergencies programme within the scope of the development of the Kingdom of Morocco Health Programme.
